Note: I am not a lawyer. This privacy policy is a practical privacy notice for mrnicen.com. It describes, in particular, the currently used contact, booking, analytics and B2B tracking functions. It does not replace final legal review by a qualified professional.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Niessen GmbH, Industriestr. 2, 65779 Kelkheim (Taunus), Germany
Email: niko@mrnicen.com
2. Hosting / server logs
This website is operated on its own server (Ubuntu + nginx) with a hosting provider.
When you access the website, the server processes technically necessary data in log files, in particular IP address, date and time of access, requested URL, referrer URL, user agent and technical status information. This data is processed to provide the website securely, stably and reliably, to analyze errors and to defend against attacks.
Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in security, stability and error analysis).
3. Contact form / email contact
If you contact me via a contact form or by email, I process the data you provide, e.g. name, email address, phone number, company, event details and message content, in order to respond to your inquiry.
Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (pre-contractual measures / contract) or Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in communication).
4. Appointment booking / booking function
If you request or book an appointment via the website, I process the information required for this purpose, in particular name, email address, company, phone number, selected appointment, planned trade show / event and your message. This data is used to process the request, organize the appointment and contact you.
Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR or Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
5. Consulting inquiry
For inquiries submitted via the consulting form, I process the data provided, e.g. name, email address, topic and message, in order to review and answer the inquiry.
Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR or Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
6. Feedback form / reviews
If you submit feedback, the data provided, e.g. name, star rating, headline, text, date and optional uploaded images, is stored in order to evaluate feedback internally and, where applicable, use it as a reference.
Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent), insofar as feedback is published; otherwise Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in quality improvement).
You may withdraw consent to publication at any time (contact: niko@mrnicen.com).
7. Consent banner and storage of your choice in the browser
This website uses a consent banner to obtain your consent for analytics and marketing / B2B tracking functions. Your choice is stored locally in your browser so that the website can respect your decision on your next visit.
The following information may be stored:
- necessary consent: yes
- analytics consent: yes/no
- marketing / B2B consent: yes/no
- time of selection
This storage takes place in your browser's Local Storage under the key “mrnicen_consent_v1”.
Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR or Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR for consent management and documentation; for analytics and marketing functions themselves Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent).
You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
8. PostHog Analytics
On certain pages, this website uses PostHog Analytics to understand how visitors use the website, which content is relevant and where users drop off. In particular, the following information may be processed:
- page views and visited URLs
- clicks on defined elements
- interactions with videos, sequences and booking functions
- technical information such as browser, device type, screen size, referrer and timestamp
- a pseudonymous visitor ID
PostHog is only loaded on this website if you select “Accept analytics” or “Accept all” in the consent banner.
PostHog is used with the EU region.
Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent).
You can withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings”.
9. PostHog Session Replay
If enabled and if you accept analytics, PostHog Session Replay may be used. Session Replay helps technically reconstruct user sessions in order to identify usability issues, display errors and conversion barriers.
The screen is not recorded as a conventional video; instead, technical interactions and display states are reconstructed.
This website uses Session Replay only with strong safeguards:
- input fields are masked.
- text content is masked.
- particularly sensitive areas such as booking forms and reCAPTCHA are blocked or additionally protected.
- the purpose is not to evaluate individual persons, but to analyze user flow and technical friction.
Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent via analytics).
You can withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings”.
10. Leadinfo / B2B company identification
This website uses Leadinfo in cookieless mode to identify which companies visit the website. Leadinfo is used for B2B analysis and sales insights, in particular to understand which companies are interested in content such as trade show appearances, corporate events or trade show marketing.
In particular, the following information may be processed:
- identified company name
- visited pages
- time and duration of the visit
- country of origin or technical visit information
- publicly available company information, where applicable
In the cookieless configuration used here, Leadinfo does not set Leadinfo cookies. Identification is based in particular on technical visit data and comparison with publicly available company databases. Leadinfo screen recording is not active in this configuration.
The legal basis should be reviewed legally before publication; the intended basis is a legitimate-interest assessment under Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR for B2B company identification and sales analysis.
11. Google reCAPTCHA
Google reCAPTCHA may be used on forms to prevent misuse, spam and automated requests.
Technical data may be transmitted to Google, e.g. IP address, browser information, interactions with the page and other data required by Google.

This privacy policy may be updated if functions, providers or legal requirements change.
